The first Alpha version of AURA-1 is now available, giving users an early look at Untoz’s new experimental AI assistant.
Artificial intelligence is becoming part of almost everything we do. But at Untoz, we don’t just want to use AI — we want to understand it, build with it and explore what’s possible when we create our own.
That’s where AURA-1 begins.
AURA-1 is an experimental AI assistant developed by Untoz, designed around one major idea: creating an AI that can run locally, understand the computer around it and eventually perform real actions using its own set of tools.
And today, that project has reached its first public milestone.
AURA-1 Alpha is now available
The first Alpha version of AURA-1 is now available, allowing early users to experience the project while it is still actively being developed.
As an Alpha release, this is not the finished version of AURA-1. Features may be incomplete, behaviour can change and bugs should be expected.
That’s exactly the point.
The Alpha gives us an opportunity to test AURA outside of its development environment, experiment with new ideas and improve the system as we continue building it.
Built to run locally
AURA-1 isn’t simply a new interface connected to an existing chatbot.
The project is being built around a local AI architecture, combining a language model with dedicated tools that allow AURA to understand and interact with the system where it is running.
AURA can already run locally, hold conversations and retrieve information about the computer through its system tools.
Future versions will take this much further.
AI that can actually do things
A key idea behind AURA-1 is simple:
AI should be able to do more than answer questions.
Our goal is for AURA to eventually understand a request, determine which tools it needs and perform useful actions directly on the user’s computer.
File management. System actions. Automation. Creative workflows. Voice interaction.
Instead of moving everything to the cloud, AURA is also being designed to perform more of its work locally whenever possible.
More than a standalone assistant
AURA isn’t being developed as an isolated experiment.
In the future, AURA could become an intelligence layer across the wider Untoz ecosystem, connecting with creative tools, productivity software and other Untoz projects.
The long-term vision goes beyond building another chatbot.
We want to build an assistant that understands its environment.
An assistant with tools.
An assistant that can act.
This is only Alpha
There’s a reason it’s called AURA-1.
This is generation one.
The Alpha available today represents only the beginning of what we want AURA to become. The technology, interface, capabilities and underlying systems will continue evolving throughout development.
Some experiments will work. Others won’t. New capabilities will arrive and existing ones will change.
And we’re going to build it in the open.
